How to get pinged when a Polymarket market suddenly heats up
Volume acceleration — a market trading far above its own weekly pace — often precedes the price move. Automate spotting it.
Steps
- In the screener click the "Heating up" preset: it keeps markets whose 24h volume is at least 3× their own daily average of the past week. (Shortcut: the ⊞ Library's "Heating up, with depth" lens is this preset plus a $25k volume floor, ready to save.)
- Add any scoping you want on top — a category, min liquidity, a price band.
- Click "Save as lens": the panel shows the chip "preset: Heating up", meaning the acceleration formula itself is stored in the lens.
- Expand the "🔔 Alerts" row (collapsed by default), pick the lens, choose "Enters lens", click "Add alert".
- The bot now messages you the moment any market newly satisfies both your filters and the acceleration formula.
Why this works
Presets are saved into lenses and evaluated server-side by the bot with formula parity to the dashboard — what you see in the table is exactly what triggers the alert.
FAQ
What counts as "heating up" exactly?
24h volume ≥ 3× the market's own average daily volume over the past week, with a $100/day floor on the average so dead markets can't fake acceleration.
Can I use other presets in alerts?
Yes — every preset (Clock tension, Waking up, Thin & moving, and the rest) is saved into lenses and enforced by the bot the same way.
